Payments: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. Errors at Checkout: Please make sure that the billing address entered on our site matches exactly to the billing address on your credit card statement. If the addresses differ, your order may not be successfully processed. Pending transactions: Once you have placed an order you will notice a pending transaction on your online bank statement. These transactions will not go through until your order has shipped.
While we strive to fulfill all orders as quickly as possible, there is a processing time on all shipments that may delay your order. This includes orders placed with expedited shipping. Please allow 2-4 business days (Mon-Fri).
We process orders within 2-4 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Note that orders placed during promotional sales may take up to 5 business days to process. Successfully placed orders will receive an e-mail confirmation with your order details. Once an order is shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. This will give you the best time estimate for when your package will arrive. Tracking may take up to 48 hours to update. If for some reason you do not receive an e-mail please check your spam filter or contact us for confirmation that your order has been received. Orders are shipped through UPS; express options are available for additional fees. Expedited orders do not deliver on the weekends.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an automated e-mail with your tracking information. If you do not receive your tracking information please check your spam filter or contact us to verify shipping. All orders with a subtotal over $300 will require an adult signature upon delivery.
Orders typically arrive within 2-6 business days after shipment. If you would like a required signature please make note of this under the comments section at checkout. Express orders placed after 1pm will be processed the following business day.

Purchases made on the Modern Tie site (www.moderntie.com) may be returned by the customer for any reason within 30 days of shipment if un-washed, un-worn and in new condition with all original components and tags still intact. All such returns must be accompanied by a valid return authorization that has been issued within 30 days from the date the product is received by Modern Tie. Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment. To request a return authorization please contact email@example.com, and provide the style, color, size, and reason for your return for each item as well as the order number(s) from the applicable product purchase. All returns and/or exchanges must be processed through the dealer where the products were originally purchased.
To exchange an order, we recommend returning your original item (see “Returns”) and then placing a new online order for a replacement item. Your return authorization will include a code for free shipping, so your exchange item can be purchased without incurring additional shipping charges. By placing a new order immediately, your new product will arrive much faster. Alternatively, you may wait until after your refund is processed (i.e., when your return product is received by our warehouse) to place an exchange order. The free shipping code provided with your return authorization (RA) will remain active for 30 days from the date we provided the RA.
All coupon codes are one use per customer and will expired one year from the date of issue. One coupon code maybe used per transaction and customers may not combine multiple codes for a single transaction. We reserve the right to cancel or reject any order if in our opinion the coupon code was unauthorized, ineligible, obtained illegally or altered in any way. Coupon codes that we issue may only be used for online purchases on this website. Coupon codes are not valid on any orders that include sale items during any sale events – including Online Warehouse Sales, Flash Sales, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
All orders placed on moderntie.com are subject to sales tax based on the tax law governing the address where the product is being shipped. The tax amount due will display in the shopping cart and during checkout.
Q: Does Modern Tie work with Cutaway Collars? A: Yes, we have tested the Modern Tie extensively on just about every collar type on the planet. Q: What materials are the ties made of? A: At Modern Tie we pay close attention to every detail. We have travelled the world searching for the finest materials available. There are four parts to making the Modern Tie. The Outer Shell - This is what is seen on the outside of the tie. We make ties from 100% silk, 100% Cotton, 100% wool, and Linen. The Interlining - Our interlining is the very most important part of the Modern Tie and we went for the highest quality wool. This makes our ties extremely soft and luxurious. The Tipping - All of our tipping is woven out of 100% silk with our Modern Tie branding. The Thread - We use a high grade kevlar thread (also called para-aramid) that is the strongest thread on the planet and is heat resistant up to 800 degrees.
